The Orion Energy Systems development team focuses on creating high quality software through an Agile process that includes short feature iterations, unit testing and mentoring. The team uses the latest Microsoft technologies, including C# in .NET 4.0, WCF, ASP.NET MVC 3, Monotouch, SQL Server/SQL Azure and Windows Azure to develop Cloud-based enterprise applications accessible from multiple client devices including mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPad. Each member of the team is supplied with all the tools necessary in creating cutting-edge software as efficiently as possible including high-end i7 laptops/desktops with SSD drives and dual external 24” high-resolution monitors. A solid development environment backs up the hardware utilizing Fogbugz for bug and task tracking, Mercurial + Kiln for source control, and TeamCity for continuous integration and NuGet package hosting. The team prides itself on its work and find excitement each day staying on top of the changing technology and discovering ways to integrate it into the existing architecture or change the direction of the application development for the better.
